MBBS Merit Lists – Overview
MBBS Merit Lists are official selection lists published by medical admission authorities across Pakistan, showing the names and aggregates of candidates who have been offered admission to MBBS programs. These lists are generated based on candidates’ MDCAT scores, FSc (Pre‑Medical) marks, and Matric results, following the merit calculation formulas set by each province or university (like UHS, KMU, DUHS, SMBBMU, SZABMU, LUMHS, BUMHS, AJK, etc.). Merit lists help students track their admission status, see where they stand compared to others, and understand competition trends for different medical colleges.
The merit list for MDCAT is usually prepared by the relevant authorities in Pakistan after the exam results are announced. How MBBS Merit Lists Work
MBBS merit lists are usually released in multiple selection rounds (1st list, 2nd list, waiting list, etc.) as seats get filled or vacated. Each list shows the closing merit aggregate — the lowest score at which a seat was offered in that round. Higher closing merits indicate strong competition, while lower closing merits in later lists may reflect seat vacancies or withdrawals.
