MDCAT Pattern

MDCAT Entry Test consists of Subjective MCQS including Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Logical Reasoning MCQs.

There shall be No Negative Marking in MDCAT 203

Difficulty level for MDCAT MCQs of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics shall be
as under

Easy – 20 %
Moderate – 60 %
Hard – 20 %

MDCAT Subjective

Shall carry 100 % weightage of MDCAT
Shall consist of 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Stipulated time of 3.5 Hours
Biology = 80 MCQS
Chemistry = 40 MCQS
Physics = 40 MCQS
English = 20 MCQS
Logical Reasoning = 06 MCQS

MDCAT Important Instructions

The candidates must reach their respective centers at least two hours before the commencement of the test on 27 August
The candidates must bring the following items with them on the exam day:
- MDCAT admit cards/ Roll number Slip
- Original Form “B” or CNIC or Passport/NICOP.
- Clipboard
- Two blue ballpoints (not a pointer, markers, pencils, gel pens).
- Calculators, Mobile phones, smartwatches, and other electronic gadgets are not allowed in the MDCAT examination hall.

MBBS/ BDS Admissions

Provincial universities start MBBS and BDS Admissions after the MDCAT Entry test results are announced. Students Must apply in MBBS BDS admissions through an online portal. Students must select the Desired Medical and Dental colleges in which he/she wanted to get admission.
