FAST Closing Merits

FAST Closing Merit are very high. However, Closing merit varies every year. Also, The FAST Closing merit depends on the courses and campuses selected.

How the FAST Merit Formula Works

For most undergraduate programs:

  • Entry Test Score: Carries the majority weight (typically 60–70%) and reflects a student’s performance in the FAST entry test or an accepted equivalent test (like SAT).
  • Academic Marks: Contributes the remaining percentage (usually 30–40%) and is calculated based on FSc/Intermediate marks in relevant subjects.

The aggregate merit is calculated by combining these two components according to the program-specific weightage. Higher marks in either academics or entry test improve overall merit, while competitive programs generally require high performance in both areas. Some programs may also consider additional criteria or quotas, depending on specific admission policies.
